Our History

Affairs with a Flair was originally created by Tony and Helen Cruz in the bustling City of Miami Beach in 1991.

It began as a flower shop and grew into an event planning company, who served celebrities like the Estefan family, Andy Garcia, Vanilla Ice and many other local celebrities and businesses throughout South Florida and abroad.

It was very well known for its unique floral arrangements and cutting-edge events.

Today both Tony and Helen are deceased. In honor of their legacy, their daughter Valarie, formed the corporation again to continue their dreams of event planning and consulting.

Our Mission

Providing unique parties and events with high quality video and photography, DJs, bands and performers.

Provide consulting and assistance to nonprofit organizations and private clients to create standout events and marketing campaigns.

Some examples of events done in the past were: MDA Telethon, the Coconut Grove Bed Race, the Salsa Fest featuring DLG, Marc Anthony, Son by Four, Victor Manuelle and many others. We also worked on many fairs, carnivals and festivals throughout South Florida.
